Concerning the plotting of the snow depth in the RTMC graphs.

The output from the sonic snow depth sensors were erratic during the summer months due to possible things such as grass and weeds moving into the sample region. In order to keep the graphs looking nice and not displaying snow depth in the summer months, the figure and corresponding number displayed were multiplied by 0.0. This process was done by opening the Real Time Monitoring and Control (RTMC) application from the loggernet software. The properties of the figure and the display number were opened and the ‘pen 1’ variable was multiplied by 0.0.

It is important to note that the sonic snow depth sensors need to be calibrated every year before the first snowfall to make sure it records 0.0 inches with no snow.
