Step 1 - Public Webcam Data

Public webcam data was obtained by performing numerous intensive internet searches. Multiple websites were found that provided webcam imagery, however, specific criteria had to be met in order for a camera image to be suitable for use. This criteria included:

• A flat horizon line, without obstruction (such as trees, buildings, people, etc.)
• A clear, relatively equal view of both land and sky

When an image met the criteria, the link to the image was saved and secured in an excel document. Other information that was included was the location of the webcam, the latitude, longitude, and the elevation, in meters.
