Maintenance

Cleaning

  1. Turn on printer using silver button on front of device
  2. lower print table
    • Select move option on touch screen
    • Use the 10mm option
    • Lower the table by at least 100mm
    • Return to home screen
  3. Select preheat option
    • Use cleaning tool to remove excess plastic from print head. CAUTION HOT
    • Turn off preheat as soon as excess plastic is removed
  4. Remove magnetic pad from table
    • May require bending or scraping to fully remove print residue
    • Replace in printer when done
  5. Remove filament scraps from bottom of printer
  6. Turn off printer

Replacing Filament

  1. Turn on printer using silver button on front of device
  2. Open lid
  3. Push button on top of printer head while pulling filament to remove filament from printer head
  4. Feed excess filament through back of printer
  5. Remove old roll from printer back, replace with new
  6. Feed filament through filament detector and into body of printer
  7. Feed filament into top of printer head pressing button while applying pressure
  8. Preheat printer head
  9. Manually push filament into printer head until printer head extrudes new filament
  10. Check feed mechanism using button on home screen
  11. Turn off preheat and printer

Replacing Printer Head

  1. Remove filament from printer head
  2. Turn off printer and allow to cool
  3. Using supplied hex bolt, remove bolt on bottom of head
  4. Pull out heating element and temp sensor
  5. Using supplied hex bolt, remove bolt on right side of head between the guide rails
  6. Pull old head off of the head assembly
  7. Replace with new head and tighten side bolt at same time
  8. Reinsert heater element and temp sensor
  9. Using supplied hex bolt, tighten bolt on bottom of head
  10. Turn on printer and preheat head
  11. Reinsert filament into printer head pushing until extrusion
  12. Turn off printer

Printing

  1. Insert drive with sliced print project
  2. Turn on printer using large silver button on front
  3. Select Preheat button on touch screen
  4. Return to start menu
  5. Select leveling button on touch screen
    • Using menu and knobs on underside of table, level table to .04ish mm or about the thickness of a piece of paper
  6. Return to start menu
  7. Select print button
  8. Select desired print project
  9. Monitor print for discrepancies
  10. Turn off printer when done
  11. Remove print from pad
  12. Replace pad on print table

How to Use Cura

  1. Make custom printer
  2. Add filament to Cura
  3. Import desired model to Cura using file button in top left of screen
  4. Slice using slice button
  5. Download to SD card
  6. Eject and place SD card in printer
